hearts and laserbeams is the wacky good-times art and design by me, steph calvert. i team up with robots, cupcakes, and stick people to show people art isn’t all about seriousness, missing ears, and deep thoughts; it can actually be tons of fun.
so i've done my share of freelance art - character design, mural painting, blah blah blah... but i've never actually sold a painting that i did on my own with no prodding from others until today!

i love all of you, you're so entertaining! i know if i'm having a bad day, i can just go read steph's comments and laugh! and now, if you will excuse me, i have to go box a piece of meat in a huge freezer, drink a lot of raw eggs, and then run up a whole bunch of stairs in preperation for my big fight with jenn!! BRING IT!
hahahah yeah you better rest up! there will be lots of bitchslapping and diving into swimming pools flinging our hair around while weraing glamourous evening wear

ps-trav, the fact that you called me boo makes me happy in so many ways. you are fantastic.... utterly fantastic....
some day we should have a blog conference or something, so everyone on one side of the country can meet everyone on the other side of the country that they haven't met yet. i'll make nametags to wear around our necks in little plastic sleeves and everything!
