the hearts and laserbeams blog!

recently blogger decided we can't publish my blog to my own website anymore so here we are! pardon the dust, and please visit us online at www.heartsandlaserbeams.com!

hearts and laserbeams is the wacky good-times art and design by me, steph calvert. i team up with robots, cupcakes, and stick people to show people art isn’t all about seriousness, missing ears, and deep thoughts; it can actually be tons of fun.

hmmmmm.... how to make the archive links prettier... if i could see what mark's alleged archive dropdown menu looks like maybe i'd switch over to that... i just don't want another scrollbar when there's more archive links than space allows.

is there a way to make more space between the two columns of dates? any other thoughts would be mucho appreciated.

right now on my comp... your archives are pushing the top sections of your bubble to the left as well as the whole blog frame... odd. you may just need to add the archives links at the end of the blog for now?

or you could make you frame less wide if you haven't already to make space for the archives on the right. i need to look at it perhaps and stop spewing garbage

i think it looks okay there - maybe if i push the word bubble back over to the right just a bit so there's not so much space on the right of the archives - does that make sense?

This is my own personal bias, but I think the dropdown menu of archives looks better (but that's what I use, so...).

Right now you've got your dates in a list; you could try to put a two-column, one-row table instead. To increase the space between the two columns, you can either insert another "blank" table column or use the ol' " " (non-breaking space) code.

If you're handy with CSS, you can also include pixel distances in your layout sheet... but that may be more trouble than it's worth.

And Blogger is SO good that it actually put a non-breaking space where I had typed in the code. (It should say -ampersand-nbsp; except replace the -ampersand- with the actual ampersand.)
