the hearts and laserbeams blog!

recently blogger decided we can't publish my blog to my own website anymore so here we are! pardon the dust, and please visit us online at www.heartsandlaserbeams.com!

hearts and laserbeams is the wacky good-times art and design by me, steph calvert. i team up with robots, cupcakes, and stick people to show people art isn’t all about seriousness, missing ears, and deep thoughts; it can actually be tons of fun.

so here's what we were working on earlier this week... i'd encourage all of you to write to your cardinal and ask him to vote for josh for the new pope, regardless of the fact that he's not a cardinal and not even catholic. the fact that he's willing to convert for the job should be indication enough of his dedication to the job...

He has my vote!

But only because he is kid tested and N.A.M.B.L.A. approved.

I make no apologies for accepting no less than that.

Later!

Actually, I just heard you don't even have to be a cardinal, you just have to be unmarried and catholic. He's got my vote.

see, i'm all supportive of josh's need to take his career in a new direction, but the fact that we'll probably have to break up once he's hired kinda bugs. cuz you know with a campaign photo like this he's totally a shoo-in.

he told me he's gonna change the can't-date-chicks-when-you're-pope rule once he was in office, but i know he's really doing that so he can call up people like natalie portman and be all, "hey baby, i'm the pope. how about you come over for some... confession."

I don't know who the hell josh is but he has my vote. BTW, I just placed an order for your t-shirt! I should get it in 5-7 days! How come you don't have a post about this?

That is so, so, SO wrong.

He does make a cute Pope, though.

ahahahhahaha, totally! it's so weird how just changing out the face in a picture can change the meaning of that wave from somber blessing of the people to a superhappy "hey! how are ya? i'm the pope!"
