denied!!!

i was soooooo effing excited to go to beverly hills for a book signing today for amy sedaris, of strangers with candy fame. she recently put out a hospitality book that is making me pee my pants in laughter all the time, and i was so jazzed to go meet her and maybe get a picture or twelve!

so the website said the book signing was at 5pm. this afternoon around 215pm i get online to get directions - go to the bookstore's website for their address and all that, and the bookstore website says the signing's at 2pm. WHAAAAAAA?!?!! so i call the bookstore, and they confirm that's going on RIGHT NOW. and that it will be over by the time josh and i drive the 25 miles in soCal traffic.

"but," the store clerk says,"if it's any help, it's very crowded, she did a great job and is very funny."

"that doesn't help me at all," i tell him before hanging up.

sob!

i'm just glad we found out the time snafu BEFORE we drove all the way out there.

but it still stinks. i emailed amy and told her how sad i was that i missed it, i wonder if she'll write back.
