the hearts and laserbeams blog!

recently blogger decided we can't publish my blog to my own website anymore so here we are! pardon the dust, and please visit us online at www.heartsandlaserbeams.com!

hearts and laserbeams is the wacky good-times art and design by me, steph calvert. i team up with robots, cupcakes, and stick people to show people art isn’t all about seriousness, missing ears, and deep thoughts; it can actually be tons of fun.

i hate that company policy that states that if you don't work your full shift the day before and the day after a paid day off, you don't get paid for that paid day off. because i am dying here, people. how i made it to work i dont know, but whatever bug i caught that made me sleep and hurt and whine for 16 hours yesterday is kicking my ass and making my typing full of typos to go back and fix. i want to just lay my head down on my keyboard and sleep until 3:30.

Dude, big hugs. I gave B the cold I had last week, and he had to get up at 4am this morning to check in the food truck at work. In 40° weather.

Being sick SUX!

I hope you feel better, Steph. Fluids, rest, blah blah blah. Though I'm sure some cocaine would really pick you right up. I'm just saying.

okay, so as it turns out they were very nice about it and sent me home, where i continued my marathon sleep/whine/ache-athon for another day and a half. i'm back at work this morning, waiting to make a doctor appointment because i'm still lightheaded and last night i developed a nice juicy cough. because every time i get sick it turns into a sinus infection.

and josh, who's been absolutely awesome about making sure i'm eating and entertaining me with blowing up the axis regime in his new medal of honor game, has now come down with the clap. or whatever it is i was sick with.

guess who gets to play shoot the sick kid now, hon.
