i heart roller derby like no ones business

no lie, roller derby rules. i don't know how many of you i told, but i was actually seriously considering joining the oc rollergirls and actually went to one of their practices and it. was. AMAZING. so much effing fun.

but the time involved and the money involved makes it a no-go, cuz i already spend ungodly amounts of time on artsy fartsy adventures.

but that don't mean i can't get rad skates! i just ordered a pair of skates for rollin' around long beach and i can't wait for em to get here! sin city skates is outta arizona, so maybe possibly they'll be here by the weekend? i hope i hope?

i got these ones. ivanna s. pankin says they can put the aerobic outdoor wheels on those skates instead of the indoor wheels they come with for no extra charge so that's what i did hooray!

also, a bunch of us went to the l.a. derby dolls match last weekend and holy effing crap so much fun to watch! AND we saw drew barrymore AND ellen page at the match! a bunch of times! and after the match as we were leaving the parking lot we saw drew barrymore again and our buddy jay kept yelling 'MS. BARRYMORE I LOVE YOU!!!' out the car window. it was amazing good times.

hooray for laptops and sitting in the living room and watching tv while i set it up! work just got way more fun!

i know most of my friends if not all of em swear by macs, but i just have to put out there that this dell got to me much quicker than promised and is almost as beefy as my superrad desktop... i only wish the beefy laptops came in the fun colors the lower end models have!

go start a ruckus!

ok i've already shared with you fine folks that i kinda started watching dancing with the stars a little bit this season because adam corolla was on it... he got kicked off this week and it leaves me with nothing but questions. check this out:



ok number one do the celebs have any say in the choreography at all? and do they have any say in the costumes and whatever? my guess is the answer to both these questions is no... and if it is indeed no, then those effers threw adam under the bus. cuz if the answer is no then he was just following orders riding the unicycle and wearing the cheezy zorro costume.

then the judges told him he looked silly, but it's probably not even his doing! garrr!!! this is balderdash i demand a recount!

i'm back on the i'm not watching this show bandwagon!

i've got zen cart installed on my website, cha cha cha!!!

it's not operational yet at all, but it's there and it's working! and the admin side of things looks like gobbledygook! i'm waiting for my downloadable ebook on how to decipher what the hell i'm looking at now... so exciting!!!

in other news, there's all sorts of hearts and laserbeams goodies coming soon! i'm in the process of sketching out what the next painting series is gonna be, and will be designing all kinds of fun new things to go along with it!

in the meantime, though, i'm sewing fun spring aprons (some from awesome vintage fabrics, some from oshkosh bgosh fabric i actually had a hand in designing when i worked there) to sell at the kids are alright just in time for mutha's day, so stay tuned!

also stay tuned sometime this next couple of weeks for josh and i's podcast debut on the ruckus!

why am i having so many issues setting up zen-cart?!!?! it's supposed to be oh so easy...

it's exciting that someday soon the shop on my website won't be quite so buggy! now if i could just get the durned thing to work...

also adding to my awesome day: getting 9 hours of sleep last night, hittin dog beach with the huzz and jimmy for some more dog training, eating half a container of cherry garcia ice cream and ordering a new laptop. HOORAY!!!
