busier than mj at a boy scout jamboree...

okay the last part of this year is going to be, in a word, INSANE.

there's the wedding, coming up in three weeks, which is going to rock so hard your teeth will fall out or your money back! (josh and i reserve the right to hit you in the face with a brick to make sure that happens, people, so be ready for it)

then, after the wedding, three, count em THREE opportunities to show/sell my work. get yer butt to one or all of them! attendance is mandatory! here's where you'll be able to find me...

november 18, meltdown comics: there's gonna be a book signing by paige braddock, author of janes world. i've never read it myself, because i've really only read like three comic books that weren't calvin and hobbes, garfield or the far side, but i'm sure it's pretty cool. even cooler is mighty fine, inc, the tshirt company i work for, is having an art show/sale in the gallery area of the comic shop that night as well. there'll be booze and good times, so get there and buy some of my art! (unfortunately i won't be able to make it to the show, josh and i'll still be on our honeymoon. but have a beer for us, won't you?)

december 9, felt club: just found out melissa and i got into the xmas version of this arts and crafts sale like two days ago, and i'm just so excited about it. ideas for more crafts and such to make are in the works, namely the i pushed baby jessica throw pillow. it's one size fits all! be on the lookout for the lady scouts table, that's what name we're operating under.

december 16, bazaar bizarre: melissa and i are at it again at the lady scouts table with more arts and crafts to shove down your throats! my sister michelle might be showin some tasty homemade items too, including aprons and possibly dog doo mittens. that's right, dog doo mittens. other lovelies you could pick up from our table? hot sexxy shrinky dink charms, handmade plates, little paintings on the cheap, and the infamous crocheted cupcakes! get em while they're hot!

seems to me you should probably print some copies of this out and put em up in your town, you never know where the segway santa'll turn up next!

just in time for the holidays...

the first time i saw this dude, it was almost surreal - wearing a dirty white wifebeater tank, old off-white boxer shorts and nothing else, with a long white beard... he looked like your typical long beach homeless man. one that looked a little like santa claus. one that was riding a segway. i was alone at the time and wasn't quick enough on the draw to get my camera out and get a shot of him. and as time went on i sort of thought maybe i had exaggerated a little... like maybe he was just riding a razor scooter.

but then, about a week and a half later, josh and i were walking to the pike for dinner and there he was again!!! the homeless segway santa in all his wifebeater/boxer glory! again, not quick enough with the camera.

last night, i was walking jimmy and now i think this dude is just mocking me because homeless segway santa came zooming up from behind and zipped around the corner.

i am dying to know his story. is he homeless for reals? if so, what's he doing with a segway? it's getting cold out, he should sell it and buy pants. is he just a crazy old man? IS HE REALLY SANTA!?!?!

three is a magic number

what the eff?! three posts in three days?! it's like the olden times, when i was on a regular updating schedule or something!

-my sister danielle's band the black dots has recently started putting their songs on their myspace page for your listening and downloading pleasure, so make with the listening and downloading! there's talk of a show coming up in january, which gives you just enough time to settle on which band member's face you want tattooed on your shoulder beforehand...
