i may be able to ressurect the dream of making my own crazy undies!!

last weekend i was at barnes and noble with josh's mom and realized i hadn't bought a book to read in ages and ages. so i thought maybe i'd get something very high-school summer reading list, and picked up hemingway's the sun also rises.

finshed book 1, realized i had no clue what i had just read, and had to go back to the store to get the cliffs notes... it's so weird how differently people talked back then. i read up on the cliff notes through what i had already read in the novel and i didn't pick up on HALF of the stuff that hemingway talked about...

it's kinda cool though, like a puzzle tryin to read a chapter and then read the cliff notes of that chapter to see if i'm actually getting it...

but back to those mimosas... where the eff is michelle so we can get started!!!

ok it's no secret that i've become obsessed with roller derby.

and that i'm very super sad the amount of time and money involved in being on a team.

this morning i was poking around on the internets, wondering if maybe there's a league near las cruces, like maybe someday when we move to new mex maybe it won't cost as much a month, and maybe it'll be a possibility then...

and as of right now the league closest to las cruces is in albuquerque, which stinks cuz that's 3 hours away... but check this out - while i was poking around i found the polite ladies roller skating society, and the picture and the wording on the page had me pooping my pants in laughter, so i just thought i'd share. the end!

ahahhahahahah man i wish i had my video camera sitting right here, i know if i get up it'll ruin the moment -

i'm workin on my laptop in the living room and listening to serg tankien's (spelling?) "sky is falling" playing on kroq, which isn't really my favorite song or band ever.

but!

there's a part in the song where there's lots of piano all frenzied sounding, and lots of serg yelling 'LALALALALALALALALALALALA' into the mike, and when the song got to that part, that's the exact point my dog started running in his sleep, complete with tail wagging and little quiet woofs.

it was magic, i heart my dog - he just always cracks my shit up.
