the hearts and laserbeams blog!

recently blogger decided we can't publish my blog to my own website anymore so here we are! pardon the dust, and please visit us online at www.heartsandlaserbeams.com!

hearts and laserbeams is the wacky good-times art and design by me, steph calvert. i team up with robots, cupcakes, and stick people to show people art isn’t all about seriousness, missing ears, and deep thoughts; it can actually be tons of fun.

i know it's late, i know you're weary...

every now and then i'll go back to grouphug to read messed-up anonymous confessions, and when i inevitably do a search for tony danza this gem i wrote a few years ago it always makes me giggle:

i have a shrine built to tony danza in my medicine cabinet. god i hope my parents never find it.

and this one that jenn left on there afterwards:

i wish i'd just get a bottle of southern comfort for xmas and rent the tony danza filmography and drink myself to death.

if those ever get discovered as fake confessions and taken off the site, i confess i will kick someone's ass.

margarita-cha-cha-cha!

last night was fun - josh and i decided to take jimmy for a walk. thinking ahead of time, hey it'll be a lark to take him on the long walk down to ocean blvd and along it a bit before circling back, and maybe we should stop at the grocery store on the way back for some margarita mix.

so i just mapquested our whole trip last night and it ended up being a 3.5 mile hike. i just didn't think we'd actually walked that far. i do know we saw lights on at my sisters upstairs apartment, and yelled up to it for like 3 minutes telling her what a chump she is with no answer. tried calling her cell and she wasn't even home. way to waste electricity, chump!

and the margaritas were delicious and saturday night live STILL isn't any good. the end!
